Wilco Faessen
Wilco Faessen is a senior managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory practice and co-heads the consumer retail group.
Notable deals include sale of The Bountiful Company to Nestlé; sale of Nestle Skin Health to EQT and ADIA; Monster’s acquisition of Bang; the sale of a majority of Jay-Z’s interest in D’Usse to Bacardi; sale of Nom Nom to Mars; sale of Cott to Refresco; merger of Anadolu Efes’ and Anheuser Busch InBev’s Russian and Ukrainian breweries; Asahi’s acquisition of Anheuser Busch Inbev’s CEE businesses; sale of Anheuser Busch Inbev’s 58% stake in MillerCoors to MolsonCoors; structured transaction between Monster and Coca Cola; sale of Happy Family to Danone; merger of Miller and Coors; and sale of Bavaria to SABMiller.
Mr. Faessen was with Barclays and Lehman Brothers from 2003 to 2018 advising clients on domestic and cross-border M&A and capital transactions in the consumer industry. Previously, he was at Violy, Byorum & Partners, advising on M&A transactions across sectors in Latin America.
Mr. Faessen holds a master’s in monetary economics from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. He is the chairman and founder of WhistlePig, an ultra-premium rye whiskey company.
