Julian Emanuel is a senior managing director leading the Equity, Derivatives & Quantitative Strategy Team as well as the Portfolio Strategy Team.

In 2024 and 2023, Mr. Emanuel ranked as a runner-up in the equity-linked strategies category in the annual All-America Research survey by Institutional Investor (now Extel), also achieving a 2024 runner-up status in portfolio strategy.

Prior to joining Evercore ISI, Mr. Emanuel was chief equity and derivatives strategist at BTIG with supplemental responsibility for alternative assets and cryptocurrency strategy. Previous roles include chief U.S. equity and derivatives strategist at UBS, and portfolio management responsibilities at Tiedemann Investment Group, Goldman Sachs/SLK, and Credit Suisse Asset Management.

His background includes tenure as an index and single stock options market maker on the American Stock Exchange and as head of the equity derivatives sales desk at Tullett Prebon.

Mr. Emanuel holds an MBA in finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a B.B.A. from Emory University.
