Jonathan Weinstein

Jonathan Weinstein is a managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory practice. He advises companies in the transportation sector, with a particular focus on aviation, including passenger and cargo airlines, as well as lessors.

At Evercore, Mr. Weinstein’s notable strategic transactions for public and private clients include Stonepeak’s take-private of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG); Warburg Pincus’ sale of Aquila Air Capital to Wafra; Apollo and JF Lehman’s take-private of Atlas Air; Western Global Airlines’ Chapter 11 restructuring; GOL’s aircraft lease restructuring and lessor-funded secured notes; Baring PE Asia and PAI’s acquisition of World Freight Company; and Knight Transportation’s merger with Swift Transportation.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Weinstein was a senior analyst at Merrill Lynch, where he advised on transactions in the transportation, infrastructure, gaming and leisure industries.

He graduated cum laude from Cornell University with a B.S. in applied economics and management.
