Gorka Irigoyen
Gorka Irigoyen is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory team in Spain and Portugal, based in Madrid.
Mr. Irigoyen has over 16 years of experience advising on a broad range of M&A and capital markets transactions across utilities, renewables, energy, infrastructure, telecoms and technology. Recent deals include the sale of Vodafone Spain to Zegona, the merger of Masmóvil and Orange Spain, the sale of Plenoil to Tensile and Portobello, the comprehensive refinancing of Eroski, the combination of Grupo Primavera and Cegid and the sale of a 49.99% stake in Primafrio to Apollo Infrastructure.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Irigoyen spent 13 years at Rothschild & Co, where his advisory assignments included Iberdrola on the disposal of certain European onshore wind platforms and Novenergia on its sale to Total Eren.
Mr. Irigoyen holds a double degree in business administration and law, as well as a master’s degree in business process management from the University of Navarra. He also serves as a professor in ISBIF Finance School.
