David Sell

David Sell is a managing director in Evercore’s financial institutions group based in Chicago.

Mr. Sell has advised on several notable strategic transactions, including Huntington’s acquisitions of Cadence Bank and Veritex; PNC’s divestiture of its stake in BlackRock and subsequent acquisition of BBVA USA; Sterling’s mergers with Webster and Astoria; CIBC’s acquisition of PrivateBancorp; Fifth Third’s acquisition of MB Financial; TD’s acquisition of Scottrade Bank; and GM’s divestiture of European financial operations to Peugeot and BNP.

Previously, Mr. Sell spent 10 years at Citi, focusing on the banking and specialty finance sectors.

He holds a B.S. in business administration from Boston University.
