Nick Pomponi joins Evercore today as a senior managing director in the Technology group and will be based in New York.

Mr. Pomponi comes to the firm after spending nearly 16 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a partner and global co-head of software within the investment banking division. Over his tenure, he has advised technology companies at all stages of the business life cycle, from growth to maturity, working on their most important transactions, including strategic M&A and raising capital through IPOs, equity and debt raises.

Evercore announced today that Giuseppe Monarchi and Laurence Hainault have joined the firm as senior managing directors to lead its Communications and Digital Infrastructure investment banking business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. They are being joined at Evercore by Managing Director Francesco Gurrieri and a team of highly experienced telecom bankers.

Evercore announced today that Seth Bergstein has joined the firm’s investment banking business as a senior managing director in the Technology Group based in New York. His longtime colleague Sandeep Sharma will also be joining as a managing director, and the two will lead coverage of consulting, professional, technology & digital services, and business process outsourcing.

Carolyn Crooks joins Evercore today as a senior managing director in the Financial Sponsors Group and will be based in New York.

Ms. Crooks comes to Evercore after 21 years at Barclays, where she was a managing director in the financial sponsors group. She was responsible for the firm’s relationship with numerous private equity firms after spending over a decade in Barclays’ equity capital markets focusing on structuring and marketing equity securities for clients in the retail, consumer and industrials sectors. Ms. Crooks started her career as an industry coverage analyst in the global real estate group at Lehman Brothers.

Evercore announced today that Lyle Schwartz will be joining Evercore in late April as a senior managing director and head of the firm’s expanded Equity Capital Markets business in EMEA. Based in London, he will work closely with Jim Renwick, who will become chairman of Equity Capital Markets in EMEA, and senior leaders in both Europe and the U.S. to expand the firm’s Equity Private Placements capabilities in EMEA alongside its existing public equity advisory business.

Evercore announced today that Scott Silverglate has joined the firm’s investment banking business as a senior managing director focused on advising clients in the software sector. He will be based in Menlo Park.

Evercore announced today that Joy Savchenko has joined the firm as a senior managing director in the Private Capital Advisory (PCA) group. Based in New York, she will focus on developing investor relationships and originating and advising PCA clients on a broad range of private capital transactions.
