James Hyland

James Hyland is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice focused on the industrial and application software sectors.

Mr. Hyland has advised technology companies at all stages of the business life cycle, working on strategic M&A, raising capital through IPOs, and equity and debt raises. He has advised a broad range of companies and private equity firms, completing transactions with an aggregate value of over $50 billion. Notable deals include the sale of Trackunit to Private Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, significant investment in Epicor by CVC, the sale of Prometheus Group to Advent International and Leonard Green & Partners, and the sale of Trader Interactive to carsales.com.

Previously, Mr. Hyland was a vice president at Goldman Sachs in TMT investment banking.

He holds a B.S. in finance from Wake Forest University.
