Amy Hutchings
Amy Hutchings is a managing director in the firm’s Financial Sponsors Group.
Prior to joining Evercore, Ms. Hutchings worked as an attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where she advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, including BREIT’s acquisition of WPT Industrial Real Estate Trust, EQT’s acquisition of Cypress Creek Renewables and NN Inc.’s divestiture of its life sciences business to affiliates of American Securities.
She began her career as a corporate lawyer in the London office of Slaughter and May, where deal experience included General Electric’s acquisition of Alstom’s Power and Grid businesses and Global Infrastructure Partners’ acquisition of Gatwick Airport and Edinburgh Airport.
Ms. Hutchings earned a B.A. in history from King’s College London, LPC and Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School in London and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
