Julian Oakley
Julian Oakley is a senior managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory practice.
Mr. Oakley has over 30 years of experience acting as a trusted advisor to a wide range of U.K. and international clients on many notable M&A and capital markets transactions.
Select deals include advising Vodafone on the sale of Vodafone Spain to Zegona, ContourGlobal on its sale to KKR, JPMorgan Infrastructure on its acquisition of Falck Renewables, John Laing Group on its sale to KKR, Jardine Strategic Holdings on its take private by Jardine Matheson, Refinitiv on its acquisition by The London Stock Exchange Group, Takeda Pharmaceutical on its offer for Shire, Airbus Group on the divestment of its defence electronics unit to KKR, Engro on the sale of Engro Foods to FrieslandCampina, Columna on its recapitalisation and acquisition of Datamars, and Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) on its acquisition by Liberty Global.
Mr. Oakley was a co-founder of Braveheart, acquired by Evercore in 2006. Previously, he was a managing director at JPMorgan Cazenove, heading the consumer, retail and healthcare team. He also served as a managing director in JPMorgan’s European advisory practice.
Mr. Oakley has a B.A. (Hons) from Durham University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
