Scott Kamran
Scott Kamran is a senior partner in the firm’s Technology group and leads the global software practice. He has more than 25 years’ experience advising software companies and private equity firms and is responsible for software transactions in both the infrastructure and application sectors, representing more than $300 billion in value.
Select deals include Kaseya’s acquisition of Datto; Duck Creek’s sale to Vista; Checkmarx’s sale to Hellman & Freidman; Francisco Partners’ sale of a stake in Smartbear; Advent and Permira’s acquisition of McAfee; Palo Alto’s acquisition of Demisto; Sage Group’s acquisition of Intacct; Clearlake’s sale of Vision Solutions and Syncsort to Centerbridge Partners; the sale of CommerceHub to GTCR; Salesforce.com’s acquisition of ExactTarget; and multiple advisory assignments for Insight Partners, Clearlake Capital and Vista Equity Partners.
Before joining Evercore in 2013, Mr. Kamran was a managing director and global head of software investment banking at Merrill Lynch. Prior to his investment banking career, he served on active duty in the U.S. Navy and was deployed in the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operation.
He has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in finance and economics from George Washington University.
