William Hiltz
William Hiltz is a senior managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory group and head of its Special Committee and Board Advisory practice.
Select transactions include General Mills on its acquisition of Pillsbury; CVS on its acquisition of Caremark; General Motors on its restructuring and IPO; Kraft on its spinoff; the Special Committee of Dell on its leveraged buyout by Michael Dell and Silverlake; Broadcom on its sale to Avago Technologies; Whole Foods on its sale to Amazon; Aetna on its sale to CVS Health; the Special Committee of T-Mobile on the acquisition of Sprint; and Takeda on its acquisition of Shire.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Hiltz was head of the global energy group at UBS Warburg and head of the energy group at Dillon Read.
He is a former director of Davis Petroleum and Energy Partners, a former trustee of the Salisbury School and served as a trustee of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York for over 30 years. He is a director of the National Park Foundation and its former chairman. Mr. Hiltz also is a member of The Council on Foreign Relations.
He earned a B.A. in history and government from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
