Alexander Russ

Managing Director

Alexander Russ is a Managing Director of the firm's Private Funds Group.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Russ was an Executive Director in the Alternatives Advisory & Placement Group at Neuberger Berman and before that with Lehman Brothers. In this role, he was responsible for raising institutional capital for the firm's proprietary private equity strategies as well as for originating, developing and managing fundraising programs for third-party financial sponsors. His primary duties included coverage of Limited Partners in the Nordic and UK markets as well as spearheading project management for the Group's European-based General Partners. Mr. Russ previously served as a Product Specialist in the Absolute Return Strategies Group in New York and subsequently in London where he was responsible for the institutional distribution of the firm's hedge fund products. Mr. Russ began his career in the summer of 2000 when he worked in Lehman Brothers' Investment Banking Division, focusing on M&A advisories as well as capital markets financings in the Communications and Media Group.

Mr. Russ graduated with honors from Amherst College in 2001, where he earned a B.A. with a concentration in English
