Finula Cilliers is a Managing Director in Evercore's European Debt Advisory Business, based in London. She is responsible for leading Evercore's specialist derivatives and hedging advisory capability?.
Mrs. Cilliers was most recently a Director at Rothschild in London and head of its derivatives and hedging advisory team which she founded fifteen years ago. She has more than 25 years' experience providing advice to clients regarding derivatives structuring, risk management and structured finance. During her career she has focused on hedging and derivatives advisory work for major corporations, financial institutions, creditor groups, governments and government entities on a global basis.
Some of her transactions include advising 3i on their acquisition of Eiser's infrastructure portfolio, Severn Trent on its bond issues and associated hedging, Viesgo on its refinancing and associated hedging, Roadchef on its refinancing, Ancala on its acquisition financing of IEG, Lynemouth Power on its foreign exchange and inflation risk in its biomass conversion project, Arqiva on its $4bn refinancing and £2.6 bn of hedging, Open Grid Europe on hedging its 2.7bn bank and euro-bond financing, Canary Wharf Group on hedging for its £1.6bn securitisation, Associated British Ports on hedging its £2.35bn refinancing, Techem on hedging its 1bn high yield bond and TLB refinancing, Southern Water on its inflation and interest rate hedging.
Mrs Cilliers is also a member if the non-executive With Profits Committee of Standard Life and a member of the Insight Independent Panel overseeing the Government Liquidity Fund
Mrs. Cilliers has a BSc Hons in Applied Mathematics from the University of St. Andrews.
