Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Thomas was an Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, in the Media and Telecom group. During his tenure at BAML and Banc of America Securities, Mr. Thomas focused on the diversified media, cable, and wireless sectors. Selected transactions include: advising RDC on its sale to Vista Equity Partners, UBM on its divestiture of PR Newswire to GTCR, Thoma Bravo on its acquisition of TRADER Canada, IHS on the sale of its Operational Excellence & Risk Management software business and GlobalSpec digital media business, McGraw Hill Financial on its acquisition of SNL Financial, Dealertrack Technologies on its sale to Cox Automotive, the E.W. Scripps Family on the merger of the broadcast operations of The E.W. Scripps Company and Journal Communications and the spin/merge of their newspaper operations, McGraw Hill Construction on its sale to Symphony Technology Group, Green Street Advisors on its sale to Golden Gate, iParadigms on its sale to Insight Venture Partners and GIC, IMG on its sale to Silver Lake and William Morris, Dealertrack Technologies on its acquisitions of Dealer.com and incadea plc, ProQuest on its sale of a minority equity interest to Goldman Sachs, R. Mr. Thomas has a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from University of Kerala, India, and an MBA from University of Texas, Austin.
