Marc van der Lubbe
Marc van der Lubbe is a Managing Director of Evercore Partners based in London with 18 years of investment banking experience.
He focuses on advising clients in the chemicals industry and related sectors. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Van der Lubbe was a Managing Director and headed the European Chemicals team at Citigroup, which he joined in 1998.
Major transactions have included: advising CVC on the acquisition of a majority stake in DSM’s Polymer Intermediates and Composite Resins businesses; Eastman Chemical on its acquisition of Taminco; Clariant on the sale of its textile, paper and emulsions businesses to SK Capital; DSM on its acquisition of Kensey Nash; Apollo on its acquisition of Taminco; Heris family on the sale of Akdeniz Kimya to OYAK; ICL on its acquisition of Scotts’ Global Professional Business from Scotts Micracle-Gro Company; Solvay on the sale of Solvay Pharmaceuticals to Abbott; Mitsubishi Plastics on its acquisition of a majority stake in Quadrant; Kemira on its TiO2 JV with Rockwood; Sabic on its acquisition of GE Plastics; Basell on its acquisition of Lyondell; FujiFilm on its acquisition of Avecia’s inkjet business; Syngenta on its acquisition of Advanta and concurrent disposal of selected assets to Fox Paine.
He has a degree in Business Administration for the Financial Sector from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
