Gregory Lee

Senior Managing Director

Gregory Lee is a Senior Managing Director of the firm’s corporate advisory business with over 20 years of relevant experience. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Lee was a Partner Managing Director and head of the Tech, Media and Telecom Mergers Team at Goldman Sachs. He was previously co-head of the Global Telecom Group and head of the Investment Banking Conflicts & Business Selection Group at Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Lee’s selected transactions include sale of McGraw Hill Education to Apollo, sale of Wireless Generation to News Corporation, sale of Intergraph to Hexagon AB, sale of Interactive Data Corp to Warburg Pincus, sale of Travel Channel to Scripps, Fox Squeeze Out by News Corporation, sale of Massive to Microsoft, acquisition of Iowa Telecom by Windstream, sale of NY Times Broadcast to Oakhill, sale of Red Sox Investment for NY Times, merger of Global Signal with Crown Castle, Cox Communications squeeze out by Cox Enterprises, sale of Intergraph to TPG and Hellman & Friedman, United Globalcom squeeze out by Liberty Global, sale of Knight Ridder to McClatchy, Sale of Pearson Government Solutions to Veritas, acquisition of IGN by NewsCorp, sale of Direct TV interest to Liberty Global, defense and sale of Dow Jones to News Corp, acquisition of Fox Family by Disney, sale of BCE to Providence Equity, sale of Grey Advertising to WPP, acquisition of Oak Industries by Corning, acquisition of Pirelli Optical by Corning, and the merger of Times Mirror with Tribune.

Mr. Lee earned a Master of Laws from Columbia University in 1990 after completing his undergraduate studies in law and finance at the University of Melbourne in 1986.
