Senior Managing Director
Randy Crath is a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s international Oil and Gas Acquisition and Divestiture advisory business.
Mr. Crath was most recently a Managing Director in Scotia Waterous where he led the Latin American Oil and Gas advisory business. With over 25 years of banking experience, Mr. Crath has advised many of the leading companies in the sector.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Crath advised on numerous oil and gas transactions, including mergers, asset sales, takeover defense, joint ventures and restructuring transactions. Notable transactions include advising the bondholders in the bankruptcy of OGX, Vale on multi basin asset sales in Brazil, Ecopetrol on multi basin asset sales in Colombia, Hupecol on three Colombian sales aggregating $1.4bn, SK on the its $2.4bn Brazilian divestiture to Maersk, Sinopec on its $7.1bn formation of Brazilian JV with Repsol, Sinocpec on the $2.45bn acquisition of Occidental Petroleum’s Argentine subsidiary, KNOC and Ecopetrol on their acquisition of Petro-Tech, Chevron on numerous asset sales in Argentina and Brazil, Talisman on the sale of assets in Trinidad, and Petro Andina on their takeover defense.
Mr. Crath received a B.Comm. from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada
