Benson Kutrieb is a Managing Director of the firm's Corporate Advisory business focusing on the Media sector.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Kutrieb was a Vice President in Goldman Sachs' Technology, Media and Telecom Group where he was responsible for key client relationships and leading execution teams for M&A, equity and debt financings for US, European and Asian clients. Mr. Kutrieb was also a senior member of the firm's Merger Leadership Group and Co-Head of TMT Raid Defense and Shareholder Activism.
Notable transactions include advising GeoEye on its sale to DigitalGlobe, Warner Music Group on it sale to Access Industries, Rosetta Marketing on its sale to Publicis, AutoTrader Group on a sale of a minority stake to Providence Equity Partners, AutoTrader Group on its acquisition of Kelley Blue Book, the New York Times on its sale of a stake in New England Sports Ventures, Cox Communications on its divestiture of the Travel Channel to Scripps, the NBA on the formation and sale of equity in NBA China to Disney, Cox Communications on the divestiture of its 25% stake in Discovery Communications, the New York Times on its sale of the Broadcast Media Group to Oak Hill, ECI Telecom on its sale to the Swarth Group, Messer Griesheim on its sale to Air Liquide, Autobahn Tank und Rast on its sale to Terra Firma, Providence Equity Partners, Apax and GSCP on its acquisition of Kabel Deutschland, Siemens on is divestiture of Mannesman Demag to KKR and AGIV on its divestiture of Andritz to the Carlyle Group.
Mr. Kutrieb received a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management.
