Charles Outhwaite is a Senior Advisor to Evercore Partners based in London. He has over 25 years of corporate finance experience, focusing particularly on the financial services sector.
Notable recent transactions include advising Cazenove Capital Management on its acquisition by Schroders, the sale of Cofunds to Legal & General and the management buyout of Jupiter Fund Management and its subsequent IPO.
Mr. Outhwaite was a Partner and Managing Director at Lexicon Partners, the corporate finance advisory business which was acquired by Evercore in 2011. Prior to joining Lexicon in May 2001, he was a Managing Director in Credit Suisse First Boston’s Financial Institutions Group and, until its acquisition by CSFB in November 2000, he was a Managing Director with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Formerly a partner in The Phoenix Partnership before its acquisition by DLJ, he has specialised since the mid 1990s in advising financial institutions, particularly in the asset management and wholesale markets sectors. Mr. Outhwaite started his investment banking career at Schroders.
He is a non-executive director of Ashmore Group plc.
He has a degree in modern history from Oxford University and a MBA from Warwick Business School.
