Leslie Fabuss
Senior Managing Director
Les Fabuss is a Senior Managing Director of the firm’s corporate advisory business. Prior to Evercore, Mr. Fabuss spent 25 years as a banker at Lehman Brothers where he most recently served as a Vice Chairman of Global Investment Banking. Mr. Fabuss advises corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions, applying his extensive experience in the aerospace and defense industry and in working with private equity firms. While with Lehman Brothers, Mr. Fabuss advised on a number of major transactions. His recent transactions include advising Finmeccanica on its $5.2 billion acquisition of DRS; Engineered Support Systems on its $1.9 billion sale to DRS; Titan on its $2.7 billion sale to L-3 Communications; United Defense Industries on its $4.2 billion sale to BAE Systems; and an investor group on the buyout of Hertz. He also has advised The Carlyle Group and other financial sponsors on numerous transactions. Mr. Fabuss began his investment banking career in 1979 at Dillon, Read & Co. After joining Lehman Brothers in 1984, he held increasingly senior positions within the firm’s investment banking group before becoming a Vice Chairman of Lehman Brothers’ Global Investment Banking division. Mr. Fabuss holds a degree in Comparative Literature and Russian from Dartmouth College and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
