Evercore Europe
Evercore's London-based investment banking business covers the Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA") region and has over 80 bankers, including 12 senior managing directors, advising large and midsize corporates, funds and public sector entities in the region.
Evercore began its activities in Europe through the acquisition of Braveheart Financial Services in 2006. Braveheart was founded by a team that had previously worked together at Robert Fleming & Co and JP Morgan, under the leadership of Bernard Taylor, previously Vice Chairman of JP Morgan Investment Banking (Europe) and now the Chairman of Evercore Europe.
In 2011, Evercore acquired Lexicon Partners, a leading independent investment banking advisory firm headquartered in London, to add to its operations in EMEA and expand Evercore's industry capabilities globally in three key sectors: Financial Services; Utilities and Infrastructure, and Energy (Oil and Gas). The acquisition of Lexicon Partners, which was established in 2000, added over 60 bankers to Evercore's investment banking business globally, including 50 in Europe.
Evercore Europe offers M&A, restructuring and capital markets advisory services throughout the EMEA region across a broad range of industry sectors. The business is led by Andrew Sibbald (formerly Senior Partner of Lexicon).
